"The more disadvantaged childhood you have, the more difficulties and more challenges you have, the stronger you become." I truly believe those words falling out from Novak Djokovic's mouth at the olympics is something genuine.

Half of what we are today is shaped by what we had experienced very first time in our life and the other half shaped by how we react to those experiences.

I am coming from a very disadvantaged neighbourhood in my hometown İzmir. Ironically, it's also my biggest luck as conditions taught me how to survive and find a way.

I believe, everybody is successful in their own terms, once they gave their ALL and do what they can with what they have.

I gave my all, did everything i can. So far so good. Even with my "might not be able to go Dominic to compete" version, I'm totally fine. But life goes on and dreams are big.

I dream of a world with more kindness, less poverty, animal friendly and equal oppurtunities for every child.

And freediving help me to pursue those dream world as every time i hold my breath and challenge myself i feel like i can do everything in this world.

One word describes me the best: "resilience".

Lets make it solid by a list :) Things i've overcome so far: Assigned roles by our local community to me as a woman. Poverty (to finance my sport, i studied economics and worked as an internal auditor for 7 years). A serious accident results in vertigo and a head trauma. A global pandemic. And the worst; non-supportive people making fun of your dreams. I enjoy climbing walls. Thanks for all challenges.
